Kiri Jane Fellenbaum - Week 11

We surprised Memere this week on Monday...we took a quick, unannounced visit to Chattanooga to see her, since she's been working/going to be working just about every day since we got back from Oneonta until the month is up.

First, Kiri was surprised we were back in the car:

Really? We're in the car again?

We took a hike along the Tennessee Riverwalk, near the the Chickamauga Dam:

Memere's pointing to the MANY Herons that line the river, looking for fish. We must've counted 20 just as we got out of the car, alone! (You might be asking: why didn't you take a picture of the Herons? We don't know...)

Back at the apartment, Kiri showed Memere just how much she likes to smile:

When we came back home, Kiri starting grabbing things more and lifting her head...we're proud of her blossoming motor skills! Here are some pictures:

...so much so, that she made him freak out!

Sarah played trumpet with Angie Batey and Tami Newsome at their church on Sunday, so Kiri chose a particularly cute outfit to wear:

It also came with a hat :-)

This also meant that she got to visit with her Godparents, Angie, and Tami.

I'm feeling a little tired at this point...

We haven't seen these guys in a while, right?

She's growing and growing (fitting into 3-6 month old clothes!), and developing more personality each day!!

And, of course, becoming more beautiful by the day :-)

Kiri Jane Fellenbaum - Week 10

After getting home from our trip back from Oneonta, not much going on this week.

Quick trip to Target:

A visit to Rush's again-

I like Sandra's shoulder.

But THEN --

(cue dramatic music)

a Doctor's appointment on Thursday, where she got her 2-month vaccinations!!! Oh no!!!

Well, first, Kiri was a very happy and agreeable patient...look how cute she is!!

She weighed in at 12 pounds, 4 ounces, and 23 inches long! Big girl!!

Then, Sarah got her ready,

and she got her examination from our doctor, Dr. William Burkhart:

she thought she ought to check his pulse, too.

Healthy baby!

Then:

You're gonna stick me with WHAT, now?

Needless to say, we did NOT get pictures after she got TWO shots in her thighs. But, she's all caught up on her important vaccinations...no more for another 2 months.

Other than that, a quieter week in the Fellenbaby household.

Kiri Jane Fellenbaum - Week 9

Hi everyone! I went on another trip!

Yes, this week Kiri, Memere and Sarah loaded up into the car and drove up to Oneonta, NY to pick up Jimmy from the New York Summer Music Festival. Here's Kiri's take on the trip:

It's HOW long to Oneonta?!?

You've GOT to be kidding me, right?!?!?

I'm not happy about this.

 Along the way, there were some nice wineries, and Sarah and Memere stopped in to explore.

Wow...pretty lights and colors...

Kiri's a lightweight still...(just kidding)

They finally got to Oneonta:

Mommy and baby needed a nap...

We walked around and had fun, attended a couple of concerts Jimmy conducted; Kiri did NOT like the music :-) and had to be escorted out! lol

But, it was a fun but long trip, and we're just about back home.

Kiri Jane Fellenbaum - Week 8

First, this was Jimmy's first full week away from home, as he's conducting up in Oneonta, NY at the New York Summer Music Festival. He had his first concert yesterday, conducting the Chamber Orchestra and the Wind Ensemble.

All the while, Sarah's been with Kiri in Knoxville, and sending Jimmy photos and updates about her week.

Kiri's been practicing some conducting of her own, of course:

Some new milestones: she's smiling quite a bit now...some more obvious than others :-)

She also laughed Sunday the 3rd, for the first time, and she's outgrowing her diapers; we need to go up a size soon!!

Kiri got visit from Memere, as well as uncle Andrew and Aunt Kate, who are expecting a girl this November! Andrew and Kate got some first-hand experience helping take care of Kiri, and did a great job!

They took a trip to the Chattanooga Aquarium, which Kiri LOVED, and did some walking around.

It's tiring being carried around places...

Kiri's also been doing a lot of thinking...you know...thinking about baby stuffs...

But after a week of keeping mommy busy, and getting fun visits from family, it can certainly make a baby girl tired:
