Our musical child

This is funny...and REALLY intriguing, too.

I've been playing some CDs of Carmina Burana in the car, while driving around with Sarah. While it's on -- either soft or loud -- the baby is completely still inside Sarah.

Then, when I put on Handel's Messiah, and play the great choruses (For unto us a Child is born, Glory to God, Hallelujah, Worthy is the Lamb) she is TOTALLY moving around: bumping, kicking, dancing...a LOT of activity!!!

I bought Sarah a pre-natal music player that straps around her belly, so you can play music for the baby. We ARE SO doing this, because she obviously LOVES classical music...and, so far, she likes Handel and NOT Orff!!! HA!!

Some CUTE gifts recently

Jim: to my surprise, I received a package in the mail today. It was from Sarah. Sarah?!?

She had secretly ordered an adorable shirt for baby girl Fellenbaum...here it is; I LOVE it-

Sarah: I got a surprise gift from Rachel Grubb this evening...it's SOOO cute, and perfect:

She'll be SUCH a cute little future Wildcat!

And, a week or two ago, Cathy Leach MADE us this:

Halfway There!

We had our 20-week OBGYN visit today, and baby girl Fellenbaum is doing great!

She weighs 12 ounces, 146 beats per minute heartbeat, and she's the length of a banana!

I felt baby girl Fellenbaum move for the first time...

...just a tiny little "bump" against my hand.

She's growing...

It's...a...GIRL!!!

We had another OBGYN visit yesterday and, after three separate ultrasounds (this little wiggler would NOT cooperate) the ultrasound technician finally said:

"I can say, at about 99%, that it's a girl."

YAY!!!

We're SO happy to find out the gender of our baby-to-be!!!

I think she's telling us to "TURN OFF THAT LIGHT!!" (Thanks for the thought, Angie!!)

So, now that we know, we've been ALL OVER the websites of Babies R Us and Target...their servers are probably on overload! :-)

Our tests from the October visit came back great...baby Girl Fellenbaum is healthy and fine!

By the way: we do have a name, but that will be for another post down the line (how's that for a teaser?).

Our 12th Week Visit

We had another visit, and there are more pictures!

This one shows that our little one likes to say hi, or he/she's already a conductor!!

This one shows that the baby is definitely Sarah's, for two reasons:

1- The feet and hands are moving very quickly;
2- The good spine and posture!!

Don't know if the baby is boy or girl yet...hopefully next visit, just before Thanksgiving (good thing to be thankful for, right?).
