Welcome to our baby blog!

Well, we found out on September 10th, 2010 that we were pregnant! We were surprised; even though we were planning it, we weren't expecting it so fast!!

A lot has happened since that day, so here's a recap:

September 10: After a surprise positive home pregnancy test, we got a blood test and confirmed we were definitely pregnant. At first, the doctor thought we were already 7 weeks.

September 14: Another visit to the doctor estimated that we were a little under 6 weeks at that point, and they also estimated May 11, 2011 as the due date...this is when we got an initial ultrasound:

September 15 -- October 3: much sickness and nausea and blah...

October 4: we had our first visit with a new OBGYN. Lots of questions answered, we heard the baby's heartbeat (160 beats per minute...great!!), and got a second ultrasound picture...this time with little arms and legs!!

October 5: slept most of the day. Started our new blog.

Actually, back to October 4...that was the first day we started to tell friends that we were pregnant, now that we heard the heartbeat for the first time...kind of a nice milestone. Our families have known for a few weeks, but now we're telling the world of our baby. Also, a new estimate of May 10, 2011 as the due date.

So, 217 days to go!! We'll keep you updated!!!
