Kiri Jane Fellenbaum - Week 4

Hard to believe, in a way, that it has already been 4 weeks since Kiri was born. But, on the flip side, the sleeplessness and occasional colic-like crying fits have made it seem even longer than that!

She's been doing a LOT of big girl things: holding her head up for several seconds when we hold her; lifting her head up a lot during tummy time; she even wiggled/crawled about 4 inches at one point!! Making a lot of eye contact, and looking in directions where there is sound. Eating a LOT.

The animals are still getting used to her, although Scherzo has absconded with one of her bouncy chairs:

"Why does that thing keep wiggling and kicking?"

We spent the better part of the week in Chattanooga, visiting Sarah's mom, Sally.

I'm helping Daddy.

Lots of good visiting, and several trips in the car seat, which she's getting used to. Like our trip to Earthfare:

I am NOT a grocery item.
We're just loving watching her, and learning all about her.

I get so sleepy...it's tough work being a baby.

Love,

Jim and Sarah

p.s. Happy Birthday, Mary Hayden!! (Jim's sister)
